We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Account Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced accounting practice in Sandton. The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, full regulatory compliance, and exceptional client service. You will also play a key leadership role in mentoring trainees and supporting the development of junior team members.
Key Performance Areas:
Maintain accurate and compliant client accounting records in line with relevant accounting standards and legislation
Manage, mentor, and oversee trainees/associates, including workflow planning, allocation, and review
Prepare monthly management accounts, providing meaningful financial insights and commentary
Compile annual financial statements in accordance with applicable reporting frameworks
Prepare and submit VAT, income tax, provisional tax, and dividend tax returns
Manage SARS correspondence, queries, audits, and dispute resolution processes
Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and internal quality requirements
Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships while identifying growth opportunities within the portfolio
Deliver all outputs within agreed budgets and deadlines
Collaborate with auditors and tax consultants to provide integrated client solutions
