Our client, a reputable accounting firm based in Paarl, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic firm while developing your career in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Performance Areas:
Preparation of financial statements, trial balances, and reconciliations
Managing client accounts, including debtors and creditors
Processing VAT returns, PAYE, UIF, and other statutory submissions
Assisting with audits and internal control assessments
Handling day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
Requirements:
Completed BCom in Accounting or equivalent qualification
Completed SAIPA articles
Relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or auditing
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel
Knowledge of IFRS, VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, professional approach
