A well-established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their audit team based in Sandton, Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a confident and technically strong audit professional who is ready to take on supervisory responsibility, manage audit engagements, and mentor junior team members within a fast-paced and high-standard environment.
Key Performance Areas:
Planning, executing, and supervising audit engagements from start to completion
Reviewing audit working papers and ensuring compliance with auditing standards
Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with IFRS
Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact during audits
Coaching, mentoring, and supervising junior audit staff
Ensuring audit deadlines are met while maintaining quality and accuracy
Identifying audit risks and providing practical recommendations to clients
Assisting audit managers and partners with reporting and engagement delivery
Requirements:
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
Strong academic background
Solid technical knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards
Ability to work independently and lead audit teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
