We are recruiting for a CFO / Fund Accountant to join a growing investment and fund management business. The company operates across private equity and investment activities, managing multiple funds and supporting portfolio transactions. This is a senior finance role ideal for a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with strong commercial acumen and exposure to private equity, investment management, or transaction services.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee finance and accounting functions across the fund management company and its funds
Prepare monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting, and annual financial statements
Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning processes
Perform fund accounting and fund performance reporting
Manage relationships with external service providers, including auditors, fund administrators, tax advisors, and legal counsel
Prepare investor reporting packs and conduct ad hoc financial analysis
Support fundraising activities, including data room preparation and financial due diligence for future funds
Oversee risk and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory and governance standards
Implement and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with 5+ years’ post-articles experience in a financial leadership role
Preferably experience in private equity, investment management, corporate finance, transaction services, or a related financial services environment
Strong exposure to financial reporting, audits, and governance frameworks
Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial processes, external stakeholders, and investor reporting
