Our client, an established architectural practice, is seeking a Professional Architect to join their team in Bellville, Cape Town. This is an opportunity for an experienced architect to take ownership of project delivery from initial briefing and concept development through to documentation, municipal approvals, construction and final handover.
The successful candidate will combine strong design capability with technical expertise, project coordination and client management. You will play a key role in delivering projects to programme, budget and quality standards while building trusted relationships with clients and consultants.
Key Performance Areas:
Lead projects from briefing, site analysis and concept development through to completion.
Develop design concepts and translate them into compliant, buildable documentation.
Coordinate consultants and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage municipal submissions and approvals.
Oversee construction execution and maintain quality control.
Monitor project budgets, fees, timelines and deliverables.
Identify and manage project risks, delays and potential cost overruns.
Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Provide technical and professional leadership throughout project delivery.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
• SACAP Registered Professional Architect.
• Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience, with a minimum of 5 years required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience using Revit.
• Proficiency in the Autodesk Suite.
• Experience with rendering software.
Experience:
• Proven experience taking architectural projects from inception through to completion.
• Strong architectural design and spatial planning experience.
• Experience with detailed documentation and technical coordination.
• Experience with municipal approvals and construction/site execution.
• Strong client and consultant liaison experience.
• Experience monitoring project budgets, programmes and deliverables.
