Our client is a well-established and reputable accounting and tax firm based in Bellville, Cape Town. They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing team and contribute to providing exceptional accounting and tax services to a diverse client base. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional looking to take the next step in their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Performance Areas:
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for a portfolio of clients.
Assist with tax compliance and preparation of tax returns.
Support audit processes and liaise with auditors where necessary.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and trainees.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and proactive communication.
Requirements:
Completion of SAIPA articles.
Minimum of 2 years post-articles experience within accounting or auditing firms.
Based in the Northern suburbs of Cape Town with reliable transport.
Fluency in Afrikaans and English (both written and spoken).
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
