Senior Accountant – Stellenbosch

A growing accounting practice based in Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a diverse client portfolio, taking ownership of their work, and contributing to the growth of a dynamic practice. The successful candidate will have a strong accounting firm background and be comfortable managing multiple client portfolios in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• SAIPA qualified, nearing qualification, or planning to qualify
• SAICA candidates will also be considered
• Approximately 2 years’ post-articles experience
• Around 5 years’ total experience within an accounting practice environment
• Strong accounting and tax experience
• Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
• Strong attention to detail and client service skills

Key Performance Areas:

• Manage a portfolio of accounting and tax clients
• Prepare and review annual financial statements
• Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure ongoing tax compliance
• Assist clients with accounting, tax, and business-related queries
• Manage multiple client deadlines and priorities effectively
• Maintain accurate client records and working papers
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Work closely with the partners and team to ensure high-quality service delivery
