We are looking for a Senior Pricing Specialist – this is an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience within the short-term insurance space.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic actuarial professional who can lead pricing innovation, enhance model performance, and drive profitable growth through data-led insights
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance, and implement industry-leading short-term insurance pricing models.
Identify and leverage new data sources and rating improvements to strengthen pricing accuracy.
Take accountability for model performance by monitoring actual results and proactively addressing gaps or weaknesses.
Design and execute pricing strategies for both new and existing portfolios to drive growth and profitability.
Contribute to the development of innovative products while optimising and sustaining current offerings
Technical Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
VB scripting and SQL (where applicable)
Experience with SAS, R, Python, and large dataset analysis
Exposure to pricing and analytics platforms such as Earnix, Akur8, or similar tools
Ability to mine and interpret large datasets for commercial value
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Business Sciences, or Business Mathematics
Qualified actuary (FIA, FFA, or FASSA) highly advantageous
Minimum 8 years’ experience in actuarial modelling, pricing, and product development within short-term insurance
Commercial lines pricing and product development experience advantageous
Proven expertise in advanced pricing techniques and product innovation
5–8 years’ leadership or management experience preferred
