Are you a seasoned professional in trust accounting looking for your next challenge? Our client in Cape Town CBD is seeking a Senior Trust Accountant to manage trust portfolios, ensure compliance, and liaise with high-net-worth clients.
Key Performance Areas:
Trust Financial Administration
Prepare, review, and interpret financial statements for trust portfolios
Manage trust-related transactions, including the transfer of funds for buying and selling of shares
Ensure compliance with fiduciary and regulatory requirements
Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external service providers
Regulatory Compliance
Maintain RE1 (completed or in progress), with exposure to RE5
Ensure adherence to relevant financial services regulations
Assist in internal controls and reporting for regulatory audits
Client Interaction (High-Level)
Communicate and liaise with high-net-worth clients as required, maintaining discretion and professionalism
Provide clear explanations of trust financials and relevant transactions
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in financial services, Accounting, Finance, or related field
Around 5 years’ experience in trust accounting and administration
Significant experience in trust accounting and administration
Strong understanding of financial statements and fiduciary reporting
RE1 certification completed or in progress; exposure to RE1 and RE3
Strong analytical and communication skills
