Shift Pursuit has a brand new vacancy available at a private hospital based in East Rand, Gauteng, which is offering an amazing opportunity for a Theatre Deputy Nurse Manager. This individual will be responsible for coordinating improved cost-effective quality nursing care by ensuring compliance with professional and ethical practice, ensuring that nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practised within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team. Additionally, the individual will be accountable for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, training and providing leadership in Clinical Governance.
Requirements:
Postgraduate diploma in Health Service Management or relevant qualification in Administration and Management (essential)
Previous experience within Unit Management or relevant management
Duties & Responsibilities:
Effective management of the Nursing budget to achieve BSC targets
Drive compliance with standard acuity across all departments
Support managers with analysis of Cost Centre Reports, consumables, stationery, and Nursing Efficiency Reports (WRPT, TRPT, ED) to ensure cost-effective care
Encourage optimal stock management and achievement of targets such as MOBIT and MOBILL
Understanding of the financial fundamentals of the organisation
Assist managers to ensure CAPEX processes are followed and equipment is correctly managed
Identify areas to improve operational efficiencies and ensure sustainability
Ensure implementation and compliance with CareOn
Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
Identify quality improvement opportunities and drive group quality initiatives as per BSC
Support investigation and reporting of incidents and Sentinel events on IMS & SharePoint and monitor corrective actions
Identify non-compliance through clinical audits and risk assessments and implement quality initiatives to manage risk
Monitor safety standards according to the Machine and Occupational Safety Act (Act 6 of 1983) and report incidents
